A warm welcome to our new web site (2016) designed by David Richardson (1948-53) and co-edited by David and John Webster (1964-70) j.webster@mac.com   ............ who will take over the reins in due course.

The original site was built in 2001 by John Olrog (1947-52).

David (Taffy) Richardson (1948-53) (mrjflt@blueyonder.co.uk) has researched the whereabouts of Old Boys at Shene until the closure in 1977 and his database lists at least 2000 names, although a lot of these ex-pupils are yet to be found.

They are listed in Microsoft Excel and if you would like to see the list, or are looking for a particular person, contact David directly and he will be happy to oblige. New information is welcome so if you have details or ideas on the whereabouts of an Old Boy, please pass them on and he will follow up.   Names will not be added to the list without express permission.

The Richmond Local Studies Centre at the Old Town Hall has a rich treasure trove of the School's memorabilia including pupil lists from the opening of East Sheen Grammar School and subsequently.

It is hoped that this site will enable Shene Old Boys to keep in touch around the world.   It is known that Old Boys are as far afield as Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, Dubai, France, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, Scotland, Spain, USA, Wales, Zaire and Zambia.

Please be encouraged to write to David with memories of your schooldays, and tell where they were to lead you and let him know the dates when you were at the school to ensure that you are located correctly.  He is keen to keep Old Boys in touch and particularly wants to know of those who are unwell to enable us to offer support.

E-mail your photographs in jpg format, please.   If you don't have a scanner, post the original photos to David and they will be returned to you after placing on the web site.   His address is on the Old Boys listing.

The buttons on the left indicate school intake years.
Suggestions or comments are  welcome .............
